Thrill The World is a global community project that started in 2006 as a Guinness World Record attempt for the largest Thriller dance in one location.
The event was created by Ines Markeljevic, a dance instructor and entrepreneur from Toronto, Canada, who wanted to unite the world through dance and celebrate the legacy of Michael Jackson.
The event has since grown into an annual worldwide simultaneous dance to Thriller, where people of different backgrounds, ages, and abilities join together to perform the iconic zombie dance.
The event also raises funds and awareness for various charities chosen by the local organizers.
Thrill The World has become one of the world’s largest simultaneous dance events, with thousands of participants from over 80 cities and 17 countries. The event takes place every year on the Saturday preceding Halloween and has two thrill times to accommodate different time zones.
You can learn more about Thrill The World and how to join or start your own group on their official website or watch some videos of past events on YouTube.
